POD: Lebanon+5.5 (FIBA-Asia) L

This is what we all have been waiting for, the FIBA-Asia Championships! The tournament will start tomorrow (August 6) and will end on August 16 with the top 3 finishers advancing to the FIBA World Championships to be held in Turkey on August 28, 2010.

I will be taking Lebanon+5.5 against Jordan, winner of the recently concluded Jones Cup in Taiwan. Lebanon was leading most of the way in their last game but succumb to pressure in the fourth quarter where the Jordanians made their run. Aside from the old reliables, El-Khatib, Feghali, Vroman, and Freije, the Lebanese squad will be adding more firepower in University of New Mexico standout Daniel Faris. The Lebanese even have a realistic chance of winning this match SU.
